Unused welcome credits do not expire while your account remains active. Credits cannot be exchanged for cash or used to pay for physical products.

Do welcome credits renew each month?

No. Welcome credits are a one-time offer per person. Paid plans provide a separate allowance each billing month.

What happens if generation fails?

A generation that fails to produce a result should not consume a credit. If your balance looks wrong, contact support with the time of the attempt and your account email.
